Total Fish/Sizes : 13 LMB (6 - 3lb; 1 - 1lb; 6 - dinks); 4 crappie
Lures Used : Soft plastics; crankbait; chatterbait; topwater

Fished the 4th under morning clouds with afternoon sun.  On the water around 7:00am and fished until 3pm.  Water temp started at 83 and rose to 85 by the end of the day.  Morning bite was extremely slow.  Topwater bite was non-existent so didn't stick with it very long.  Sun seemed to help turn on the bite around noon.  Most success was middle third of the lake with limited success on the dam third or the upper northern third.  Weighless wacky rigged senko caught a couple but more success with weighted texas rigged plastics (especially the chunkier bass).  Moving baits such as chatterbait and crankbait produced interest and caught the crappie as well.  Fish were set up in about 6 – 8 foot of water off the shoreline but somewhat “random” in spots, i.e. no identifiable cover on sonar.  Nothing directly off timber.
