Had out of town carpetbagger company (from Iowa) that thinks walleye and pike fishing is fun (until his first frog blowup and hookup at TCU).

Starting at dawn, we missed 7or 8 and caught 3 or 4 on Frogs around the big and the northernmost island. Frog bite tapered as the AM wind kicked up.

Fished the eastern shore tight to the grass and made our way around the north dam with flukes and wacky rigs (white or green/white (baby bass)), caught about a dozen more.

Approached north side of dock and switched to jig/trailer combo (white/white keitech for him, green/red craw for me), and hooked up another 6-7 fish, including his fat 5.5.

Took a break on the dock, refreshed the drinks at 8:45 with 20+ fish already landed. Lapped the lake again as the wind increased and caught 4-5 at the grass line near shore.

Tired of fighting the wind, we hit the south shore and caught 10 more in the cove on the west shore behind the small point with the pilings/stickups. Fish were within 15-20 feet of shoreline.

Tried the dock again and the east shoreline again and picked up 2 more on the east shore.

Got off the water about 1, thankfully ahead of the rain.

Another great day from PWF. Southern hospitality at its finest. Lots of pics taken and memories made.
