Reservation Number : 29017
Property Name : SW Lake
Reservation Date : 06/26/2021 AM -
Total Fish/Sizes : 17 up to 3#
Lures Used : Tx rigged worm, crankbait, spinnerbait, rattletrap

Brushpile brushpile brushpile. I think the brushpiles saved the morning. Most of the fish weighed 1-2 # with a couple close to 3# were caught at the dam and northeast side. There was hardly any vegetation and the water was pretty dirty. There were few small threadfin shad hitting the surface so I chose to go with a small white crankbait and spinnerbait. However most fish were caught on the white crankbait and a texas rigged blue 7” worm in 3-4 ft of water. I lost a few in the brushpiles and had one break the line. I wish I could catch one of the hawgs others have caught in there. Well it will have to be next time. Again, the property looked great and the concrete ramp did its job with no issues. Thank you PWF and pond owners!

Those are great numbers!  You are right, Weston is a bigger fish, lower numbers lake. So it is good

to see those type of numbers. Those deeper brush piles during the summer, are great to throw a texas rigged drop shot

into.  Last time I was out there, I found a hard spot on the northwest portion of the damn that was awesome.  Now I just have to find it again.  :)

Thanks Patrick. Yeah I wish I knew what or where they are throwing to catch those hawgs. I like using larger swimbaits but the water was very dirty.  I don’t know where the hard spot on the nw dam is but there is the one brushpile near it. I was able to catch at least a couple off of it. However a lot of the fish caught off the brushpiles were dinks. Maybe next time!
