Reservation Number : 29011
Property Name : Post Oak Lake
Reservation Date : 06/25/2021 AM -
Total Fish/Sizes : 13 bass 3 culled and 10 returned between 16-19"
Lures Used : Black Frog

Arrived just before dawn at this great property and commenced fishing the open water section of the north bank with a selection of topwater lures. After 15 minutes of zero action I switched over to throwing a frog into the weeds that are now fringing a significant portion of the tank (see pics) and it was game on! Landed 10 on the frog and had another 10 blowups. Once the cloud cover dispersed the bite cooled and I spent the last two hours trying a number of techniques (wacky senko, chatterbait and punching with a craw) that yielded another 3 bass.

All of the bass were caught in the main lake which is full from the recent rains. The smaller extention of the lake failed to produce this trip but did provide an entertaining moment when I suprised two armadillos that scampered away once they realized I was within 5 ft of them.

Looking forward to returning to this ranch once the weather cools down this fall!

Steve,

I am planning on purchasing an Ultraskiff later this year, based upon the strong recommendation provided by fellow PWF Member Al Burns. I just need to sell a couple of my kayaks and make some room in my garage. LOL
