Member Rick Waldrop and I fished Sandy Creek Saturday morning from 7 – 11.  Lots of grass and the bass were in it.  Throwing weightless baits on top and letting it drop into holes caught the majority of the fish.  Sometimes hard to see if a fish was still on with the wad of grass surrounding it.  Did catch several bass and 2 large crappie along the dam on chatterbait.  Rick had 3 blowups on a frog around 9 am and he caught the last one which was 4.5 lb. and the big fish for the day. Culled 11 and returned 11.  Lots of shade to fish in for a good while in the morning, but when the sun got above the trees around 10:30, the heat set in.  That’s when we called it a day.
