What a beautiful body of water. The water was crystal clear even with all the recent rain we have had. Fishing was fun, and fish were every you put a fly. Flys for the day were deer hair for topwater and streamers. We put 17 in the boat within a couple of hours. The largest fish was 4# of the seven survivors, and 10 didn’t make the cut, not returned to the water. A sudden downpour ended our day.
Launching the boat here was a bit of a challenge, and taking the boat out proved to be more challenging. The rains late in the week left the ramp not muddy but still wet. After launching, I knew we were stuck but didn’t think it to be too hard to get out using the boat motor to push my FWD Acadia past the mud hole just above the concrete ramp.
Looking forward to returning to this lake soon.
