Mike & I fished Blue Rock Lake Saturday afternoon.  It was a great to be on the water weather wise.  Glad we got it in before all the rain started this morning.  Water clarity ~2’.  With the recent rain Willis Point had, the water was not at all muddy.  We caught 13, with the biggest at 4 ¼ lbs.  All the rest were a healthy 2-3 lbs and no dinks.  A texas rigged maxnum finesse worm worked the best.  Most of the fish were caught on the south end of the lake on both sides of the point.  A number of them were up shallow in the weeds.  We did catch a couple out in the open, deeper water on  a X5 crank bait.  Had a nice long chat with the owner, Eric.  He had us launch our two small boats on the north side of the lake, because of the recent rain and a culvert he just put in on the east side.  He also told us about the bait fish ponds he is developing and a lot of the history of the lake.  As well as future plans.  Was a lot of fun talking with him.  Great guy.
