Mike & I fished Travis Lake Saturday afternoon.  There was a strong south wind, but the lake is fairly protected, so wind wasn’t that big of a factor.  Water temp was 74 when we started out and got up to 78 later on.  Water clarity ~6” and a bit muddy.  Lake level full and acually a little out flow.  We caught 27 with the two biggest going 4 ½ lbs.  And we harvested 18.  A jig, wacky rigged Senko and a Texas rigged Senkos are what worked.  The harvest fish were mostly caught in 3’-5’ on the south side of the lake and at the end of the fence line.  The bigger fish were caught in deeper water, but still towards the south side of the lake.  Launching our two small boats worked best at the spill way area.  The surrounding pasture areas are pristine.  This property is a relatively short drive for us and it was a good afternoon of fishing.
