Took the opportunity to fish Bluebonnet thinking the cloudy conditions might create an afternoon bite.  Water temp was 70 degrees with winds out of the south from 15 – 20mph.  I got whipped around quite a bit in the boat by the wind but dropped anchor to position myself as best I could.  Caught 2 nice 3 pounders, one on soft plastic and another on topwater when the sun started to set.  Most action was on topwater during the 7 o’clock hour when the wind died down a bit.  All in all, a fun afternoon even though I didn’t get the feeding frenzy I thought I might.
