Cold weekend with high of 63 and low of 40.  Came in late on Saturday with my 14 year old son and fished East Lake.  Focused on the west side with Texas rigged worms.  Windy afternoon in kayaks and not a lot of action.  Moved over to West Lake and made camp.  Great place for tent camping.  My son talked me into going on to West Lake in kayaks for the last hour before sunset.  Really glad he did!  Caught one small LMB on a Texas rig then switch to a black and blue chatter.  Caught a 6 lb 10 oz LMB off the second point west from the launch area.  Woke up and fished the morning solo with a sexy shad wake bait.  Caught four 2 to 3#  LMB. Fished Texas rigs and chatter baits off and on the rest of the day and evening.  Ended up with 10 fish total for the day.  None bigger than 3.5#.  Beautiful place to fish.  My son and I spent more time hanging out than fishing and had a ball.  We will definitely be back.
