A guest and I fished this property for the first time on April 9. Getting onto the water around 9:00, we got into some big ones right away with a 5.05 to start the day. The biggest of the day was just a shade under 6. We had a few other 4s and a host of 3 pounders as well. There are some chunks in this lake. Overall, we ended up with 50 fish in the boat. Our impression was that this lake might be tricky one to find the pattern for. We got lucky and caught it just as the fish were staged to spawn and were locked in tight to the banks. We also got into a slew of fish in the very shallow water in the SE corner of the lake. But then later that day they had all moved on. The brush piles were surprisingly unproductive. The good news is that the lake isn’t that big so over the course of a day you should be able to track them down. Great new property added to the club!
