Fun day at Triple J.  Arrived at 7am and greeted by the resident cattle.  Water was calm and mid 60s.  Fished the shallow end of the lake for a couple of hours with no success.  Based on other reports, maybe I was throwing the wrong lure and/or wasn’t patient enough in my approach or presentation.  Wished I had saved the shallow end for later in the day as it is more protected from the wind and as I moved out to deeper waters, the wind picked up and continued all day.  I fought the wind and finally found a pattern with soft plastics throwing along the shoreline and working out to where the bottom drops off into 4 – 5 feet of water.  Ended up catching 13 LMB over the day (couple of pics below, held over the water but couldn’t take a pic “in the water” since I was solo).  As reported previously, many were fat and fighters.  I tired (as did my trolling motor battery) of fighting the wind around 3.  Great day on the water.
