I had a chance to fish the Bigwoods on the Trinity Saturday afternoon and had a great time exploring this lake.  Everything looks so fishy here!  It was in the low sixties cloudy and an 8-10 mph breeze blowing.  The water had good visibility .  It was just a great day to be on the water.  
 

I caught most of the bass on the shallower north end of the lake and the bass were really hammering my lures.  Most of the fish were 2-4 pounds with a couple pushing 6 pounds.  They fought very hard for their size!  The wind died down about an hour before dark to barely a ripple on the water and I was throwing a choppo into the shallows when a GIANT erupted on my lure.  Water went everywhere a head of a large bass was plainly visible for an instant and I kept waiting to feel pressure on my line ...but when all the commotion died down the bass had not actually taken my lure.  That was a really large fish!  I will be back to try for that one some other time.
