Three years ago, I caught a 30lb bag with an 8.6 lb personal best kicker at Six-O Ranch. It was the best fishing day of my life, and I’ve been chasing it ever since. Well, yesterday the chase finally ended. I caught another 30lb bag with a 10.6 lb personal best kicker, an 8 pounder and a 6 pounder. I caught the 8 pounder on my 2nd cast of the day.
The weather was overcast with a light breeze, and the water temps hovered around 61 degrees. I caught almost everything with 4.8” paddletail swimbaits in natural colors with an underspin hook. The fish were scattered in 2’ to 8’ of water. The morning bite was better than the afternoon bite.
