Frst time at Tara Lake and wow it was amazing. Hit water at 8:15 am and fished all day until 7:30 pm. Cloudy, cool and fought the wind half the day. Water hit 60 degrees and fish were hitting the banks and shallows. The lake is generally shallow in many spots, but has great structure in several different parts of the lake so you can hit them and circle back and hit them again. These fish seem to be short, but fat. Not sure of the strain but noticably shorter than other bass I have caught in other lakes in the past. My scale was broke but I have fished long enough to be generally close on weight--- 68  total:  1--8 lbs., 20--5+ lbs., 20--4 lbs., 15--3 lbs., 12--less 2.5 lbs.   Look to hit this lake again soon.

Stephen,

In more than 11 years of owning the club, this is likely a top 25 report of all time. What an incredible day of fishing. To catch 20 fish over 5 lbs is a day you may never replicate.

So happy for you.

Just Wow!

That is just an incredible day! An 8 and four 5’s in the bag is a good years worth of fishing, much less twenty 5’s in a day! Congratulations!

Thank you it was an amazing day indeed. I really didn't want to submit this report just to keep it all to myself but that just wouldn't be fair to you or anybody else in the membership. Thanks for providing these amazing waters

THose look like Florida Bass. When me and Scott Wheeler went there in October I noticed that as well. Florida’s are short fat stocky fish that fight hard. Also notice the jawline lines up or just fall short of the eyes. Texas bass have jawline past the eyes. FYI Kentucky bass have teeth on their tongue (feels like sandpaper)
