Bluebonnet is very hard to get around. Hydrilla is thick everywhere and you have to fish with weedless baits. Also wind was awful. 
 

somthing needs to be done about hydrilla. Will only get worse.  Very disappointed as lake has potential.

Sorry you had a tough day. The vegeation at this lake is a lot. We added 260 Grass Carp in May of last year. It will take a couple years for them to make a dent in the lake. But they will. In the meantime. there will be lots of vegetation. Even with the vegetation, this lake is one of the top 10 most popular lakes in the club. Most members are fishing weighless plastics in the vegetation, fishing pockets without vegetation in the dam end of the lake, or frog fishing. This lake has some tanks in the lake. 

If you don’t like fishing in heavy grass, your reservation allows you to fish the 8 acre lake above this one, which has little grass in the lake.

I can fish weedless all day long and understand that aspect of it. But when trolling motor is constantly getting caught in hydrilla in the middle of the lake that's annoying.

Buy a weedless prop they work.  My friend did not think it would make a difference. He is now a believer as we never have to clean off prop. Once in a while maybe the shaft. Great investment for a few dollars.
