Wife and I fished from 2:30-5:00.  Started late hoping the wind would lay, but it was howling right up to dark.  The hill and the trees on the south side allowed fairly peaceful fishing on that end, but it was hard to navigate the pond prowler on the west and north sides.  Launched the boat on the great concrete ramp and drifted out while hooking up trolling motor and battery.  Completed that task and picked up our rods and caught 3 in 4 casts.  Wasn't that steady for the 2 1/2 hours we fished, but plenty good enough to be extremely fun. Caught 18 with 17 of those being fat, 12-14 inchers.  Caught a long, thin 3.3 lb.  late in the day.  All were caught on black/blue flake and green pumpkin swim baits with underspin.  Enjoyed a visit with the owner.  First trip to Sandy Creek, but most definitely won't be the last.
