My wife and I fished Double A Ranch on Tuesday with moderate temps and light winds. Fishing was generally good with 21 fish mostly in the 1 to 2 lb. range with a couple of 3's and one right at 6 lbs. The rest of the story is that we lost probably 15 more good fish that in spite of a decent hook-set, jumped and spit the hook, or simply pulled off on the way to the boat. Don't know why they weren't taking it good, but that's fishing! This is an excellent lake and the owner is working to make it even better. One note: if you plan to beach your boat during your day, you might want to wear rubber boots or plan to get your feet wet because there is little to no place to do so because it is very shallow around most of the lake until you get several feet from the shore.
