Damita Jo and I fished Double A from 10:30a until 7pm.  Water temp was 74.5 and visibility about 4' in some areas of the lake.  Fishing was slow until 1:30p then it picked up and Damita Jo began catching .  She ended up with 23 fish and I lucked in to 7. Most were caught on plastic worms. We caught a couple of fish that weighed right at 4 pounds and the rest were 1.5 -2.5 pounds. Previous reports said that these bass were fighters and they were right. Seemed like every fish no matter the size would strip line off of our reels.

The landowner, Joe and his wife Vicky, came down and we had a nice visit.  Joe told us of the history of the lake and of his plans to keep improving the lake.  Joe even gave us some fishing tips (which God knows we need) and they paid off! Joe is very personable and expressed a great desire for the success of his lake with PWF.

The boat ramp has now been rocked and we had no problem launching our 17' aluminum tracker, but caution because the eastern edge of the ramp is boggy even with the rock.  Walking in the water on the eastern edge I had one leg sink through the rock into 18" of mud.  Of course would have been very unpleasant had I backed into that area. While Joe was talking to us he had the same experience so he is aware.
