I fished one evening and the following morning at Northeast Lake.  The bite was excellent in the evening ahead of storms.  The evening outing produced 4 bass landed (2 @ 3lbs each, 1 @ 4lbs, 1 @ 4.5lbs) and two broke lines in under 2 hours of fishing.  The fish were aggressively hitting top waters and floating shallow running hard baits.  I had the most luck with a floating rat-l-trap up until a 6-7lb'r had one more run in him than I expected and snapped my line taking my lure with him.

The morning was very slow with only 2 fish landed in about 3 hours of fishing.  Overnight thunderstorms and increased wind seemed to impact the bite.  I only managed a 2.5lb and a 4 lb'r in the morning.

If I make it out again I'll try Senko's and weedless jigs.  The top waters where so much fun I didn't want to get away from them!
