Fished Saturday at Timber Lake after camping Friday night at the lake.  Lots of stars.  That morning it was overcast, which was great. Much cooler.  Started with frogs in the grass, no action.  Caught a few small bass on a popper and a #1 lb. plus blugill.  tossed the frog out into the channel by a tree and caugtht a 5# plus bass,  then another about 4#.  Then tried a lipless crankbait and this proved to be the ticket.  15 more bass, largest about 6#, 10 about 2 to 4#, and a few dinks.  Plus another huge bluegill.  Ended up around noon.  I tried a Senko, spinner bait, fluke and buzz bait.  No action.  Hail to the frog and the lipless crankbait, which I almost never use. Great place to fish and plenty of open water to fish if the weeds are not producing.
