Fished both lakes at Bluebonnet this am.  Started out on the smaller lake and fished from first light to 10 am there.  Caught 9 bass on top water flies and 2 on subsurface flies.  Mostly small bass but 2 solid 2.5 pounders + bass to go with them.  I fished in the shallower part of the lake to the left of the launch area and dock.  At 10 I switched lakes and went to Bluebonnet.  The lake looks way better than it looked this time last year as much of the matted vegetation is now gone.  I wished I had started out on this lake first thing in the am.  I lost about a 5 plus pounder that came unbuttoned from a top water fly frog I was throwing and landed two good bass over 3 pounds on the same fly.  The big lake looks like it could be top water heaven with all the good submerged vegetation everywhere.  I fish off of a stand up paddle board and the vegetation never bogs me down as long as its subsurface.  Great job PW helping get this lake in much better shape.
