Dads took some 8 yr olds for their bday. Hit the smaller lake as big lake was over vegged as many had reported. Gorgeous property. The bite was quick and fairly constant from 7-9:30. Around 10 we attempted Bluebonnet. Fought hard with 0 bites from 10-10:45 then headed back to smaller lake. Didn't seem worth the fight. Headed back to Dallas for some rest. Ventured back out around 6 with heavy excitement for the evening bite and as soon as we rolled in we were hit with the most vicious thunderstorm the ranch had seen in 100 yrs. we survived and headed home.
