Craig Awtrey
Fingerling
Fished 6am until noon with a guest and we landed 38 total. I lost another dozen or so, most near the boat. Bite started off slow but picked up as the sun came out and the wind kicked up. My fourth catch of the day had something interesting sticking out of its stomach. This guy willingly gave up the popper lodged in it, vomiting up water and a very well worn rebel Pop-R. The front treble was not stuck at all, and the back treble was skin hooked and came out easily. This guy swam off strong and quick and with any luck won't regret hitting another popper.
Another excellent day at Lancaster Malouf.
