Took my son with the plan to fish PM, camp, and fish AM. Arrived around 2 and fished from 2-3 just to get a feel for the lake. Went right from the dock and made our way through the timber trying a variety of baits to no luck (but it was mid-afternoon after all and we are pretty novice). The abundance of dead timber coming out of the water is no joke, lots of weeds as you get further in. Did not get a chance to fish the open water along the dam. Saw a 6-foot snake come down out of the tree in to the water. After getting our tent set-up, storms fired up and blew in - forecast was saying heavy rain storms the rest of the night and the morning, so we pulled the ripcord and headed back home to dry beds.

Any advice / recommendations on good camping properties would be appreciated - need to redo this one with my son.
