A couple of Baylor grads soundly defeated TCU, taking in and releasing 45 combatants.  The contest started at 7:15AM and concluded at 6PM, with both parties acknowledging an epic battle.  The day started with the Bears having moderate success by beating TCU at its own game - frogs!  Thereafter, the Bears unleashed their full arsenal for which TCU had no answer.  Super Flukes (green variations),  senkos (almost any color - fished wacky style) and white spinners.  TCU countered with strong winds and lots of natural turfgrass, but the precision presentations of the Bears were too much.  Eighty percent of the combatants were in the 2.5 - 3.25lbs range.  All fought fiercely, with many taking great leaps and bounds in an attempt to avoid defeat.  TCU had its moments as numerous combatants rose and simply spit back the offering.  The most productive area of the playing field was casting from the south bank of the middle island, into the area to the left of the lone lumber stick -up.  

TCU's representative, Dub, made several appearances and strangely seemed pleased with the outcome.  He was most gracious to the visiting Bears, although after our first encounter he made sure to reappear wearing TCU garb.  He even provided his guests with game-time photos. 

It was a great time at a wonderful venue and yes, there will be a rematch.
