Took my 8 year old to Angel Lake Wednesday afternoon. We fished for 4 hours, 4:00 till sundown. First time to see this pond and I'm glad we went. Hot & windy and it started slow, nothing worked until 6:00. The Super Fluke caught several for an hour and then quit. Threw lots of topwater lures after 7:00 and the Yellow Magic popper started working. Everything was caught on those two baits. Culled 4 bass, returned 9. Two monster bluegill took the popper too, which always cracks me up. Their ambition is inspiring! Had a great last 30 minutes with the popper bank fishing.
