It was a great day to be on the water at Bennett Lake. Temp was in the 70's with clear skies and 8 mph wind. Water was clear but fish were not biting. We threw all we had at them but only caught 2 bass near the dam and boat dock area about 15' from the bank on a plastic red worm. Also had several that got off the hook while fishing the brush piles.

Terry, I fished Bennett the day before and had similar luck. Beautiful weather, clear water, no wind but could not find the fish. Caught 4 LMB (nothing bigger than 2 lbs) and 2 crappie fishing all over the lake (1/2 day morning). Had a 4-5 pounder get off at the end of the morning. Lots of grass covering half the lake.
