Have been fortunate to be in the club and its predecessor since the late 90's, as has Lancaster Malouf - but for some reason had never fished it (despite being only an hour from the house). My mistake…. This is a great looking lake, lots of structure, decent water clarity, looks incredibly fertile - and was really peaceful (apart from being buzzed by a few army helicopters….). Good lake for a kayak, some weedy shallows that would be frustrating with a trolling motor. Fished from noon to 7:30 and caught close to 40. Best patterns were freelined senkos in the shallows and then a wacky worm on 3/16 oz weedless jig head in the deeper flooded timber - in 14-16 ft of water. Had a 45 min period where it was a almost a 3lber a cast doing that. Good top water bite on a chug bug in the shadows at the end of the day. No monsters, biggest was 4lb, but what a great day!
