Mike & I fished from noon to about 5:30.  Water temp was 60 when we started and got up to 62 late afternoon.  Water clarity was surprising good considering it rained the day before.  Visibility down to 6'.  Was overcast most of the afternoon, but the sun did pop out for about 30 minutes.  The wind was very light all afternoon.  Considering the cold front that came through Saturday morning and the rain, fishing was pretty good.  We caught 27 fish of which we culled 13.  The two biggest fish went at 5 lbs and were caught on a jig out by the underwater brush pile towards the dam.  Most of the rest were caught on a Texas rigged brush hog, both weightless and with a small weight. Most were in the 16" - 18" range and many caught around the edges, but several in 10'-17'.  There is a fair amount of grass on the lake, but did not inhibit the fishing.  Did foul up the trolling motor occasionally.  With not much breeze, the bugs were a nuisance.  Recommend bringing bug spray.  And with the rain the day before the road in was pretty muddy, especially down by the cabin.  Was glad we had 4 wheel drive, especially on the way out pulling a utility trailer.  This is an awesome property that has always fished well for us.
