Had a surprisingly slower day at Giddings. We were on the water by 1:00 and fished till sunset. Wind was strong throughout the afternoon. We were able to catch 10 fish with the largest weighing in at about 4lbs. No culls. We were never able to put together a true pattern throughout the day. The most productive bait was a brush hog in a green and blue swirl color. Some fish were caught on brush piles as well as others between the grass line and the bank. We tried spinnerbaits, rat l traps, crankbaits, and various topwaters in many areas around the lake with little luck. It just seemed the bite never really turned on. Nevertheless, still a nice day out of the house at a great PWF property!
