Lures Used : soft bait, green ring-fry, white shad

Got started at daybreak and fished till noon.  Temps in the '60s, cloudy with off and on mist to light rain.  We tried near the dam with no action.  Moved along the opposite bank from the dock and began getting some hits.  Quickly caught two 4 pounders and a 3 pounder ranging in length from 19" to 21" and 22".  We culled 4 Bass, a couple of which would be throw-backs in other lakes.  Three fish beat us up and spit out the lures one got up to the boat and definitely would have been a Kodak moment.  Lots of slow time after the rush.  The water level is down a foot or two but the weeds are down as well. Had higher expectations for the bite frequency, based other lake reports, but at least went away with a good experience. Used mostly soft lures and the fish we did catch bit on green ring-frys.  Tried a little trolling but no hits
