With all the recent rain and cold weather, we didn't expect much. But it beats sitting on the couch. Fellow member Sunny Vanderbeck and I caught 5 bass between 14 and 17 inches. No culls. The fish appeared healthy. Visibility was around 2 feet and the water temperature was 46 degrees at trolling motor depth, warming to about 48 by the end of the day. Winds were so strong (20 mph sustained with 30+ gusts) that I completed drained my trolling motor batteries (80lb thrust on 24V system) using spot lock in about 4 hours. Would not have been easy to fish this property in smaller boat. We tried just about every cold water lure and presentation. Looking forward to warmer weather.
