Fished Masagana Farms yesterday for the first time. Nice property, very accessible. Hadn't been out that way in a while, amazing amount of growth / development. Partly cloudy, air temp in the mid 50's with a north breeze, water temp 49 deg. Not much structure in the lake, consistent 5-6 ft depth on the house side sloping down to 12-15 ft in front of the dam - a few marked brush piles. Water is very clear, lots of weed on the bottom. Lake is full of fish, could see them stacked up on a thermocline just above 4 ft. Took a while to figure it out yesterday. Ended up catching 12 - took one or two off each brush pile on TX rigged watermelon worm, then the rest on a rattle trap ripped across the thermocline. All the fish looked healthy, all above cull size, the largest two around 4lb full of spawn. Nothing on crank baits deep, jerk bait or swim baits - tried Carolina rig but heavy weed on the bottom made that tough. Going to be some big catches from this lake when it warms up
