My wife and I fished Martins Mill a half day on both Tues. and Wed. Yes, it was hot out there, but it was also good! We boated 23, most in the 2-4lb. range, with one right at 5lb. The water clarity is somewhat improved, and as has been mentioned in a recent report, most of the grass has died back. That fact really wasn't a negative at all on this trip. We seldom had to clean grass from a lure, and the fish seemed to stack up more on brush piles, fence rows, and any other structure you could find. It actually made the fishing easier and more predictable. This lake is one of my favorites, the accomodations for an overnight are great, the fish fight like crazy, and it's just an all-around great place to have in the club!
