Day started off pulling some culls off the grass line with a ned rig. Ended up on the far side, let the wind blow the boat into the bank. Decided to "bank" fish for a little. Threw a small swimjig with paddletail swimbait out, let it fall all the way. When I started the retrieve I thought I had hooked onto one of the submersed trees. But it kept moving, and then I felt it surge. After a tense moment leading it out of the grass, I saw the beast, a Six-O two footer. Got a hand on it's mouth and coaxed it into the boat. Rough length, 24", weight, 7lb 7oz. Nice looking fish, had that nice caricature look giant bass get.
