Reservation Number : 21275
Property Name : Waterboo Lake: Bedrock Ranch
Reservation Date : 05/27/2019 All Day -
Total Fish/Sizes : 88 (not counting bluegill) / all but 5 harvested
Lures Used : deer hair popper (fly-rod), senko, soft plastic jerkbait, paddle tail swimbait
Took wife, daughter, and her hubby to stay in Bedrock Ranch Cabin on Sunday night and fish Waterboo on Monday.
Weather: warm (mid-80s), partly cloudy, windy (S 16-17)
Water: lake full, temps of 75 to 78, good viz up to about 5', surface veg ringing the shore and sub-surface most of lake where less than 10' deep
Fishing: caught a bunch of harvesters and several bluegill, only returned 5 bass that were 15'' and harvested and cleaned 83. Son-in-law used fly rod and deer hair topwater exclusively and did very well. Other baits were paddle tail swimbait, senko, and soft plastic jerkbait. But they'd also grab a squarebill, spinnerbait, and even a plastic frog. Locations were around most of the lake, but maybe a little more concentrated around the center of dam and towards the overflow out and around the east shore in about 8 FOW.
Cabin/Ranch: Very nice little cabin with all the necesseties. Warm shower, cold air, coffee pot, fridge, etc., etc. Also, comfortable mattress - YES. Of course drive down through the ranch is super cool.
Unfortunately, on Sunday night, broadsided a whitetail on Hwy 51 heading north out of Decatur at highway speed. Banged up the 4Runner pretty bad, but thankfully narrowly missed crunching the radiator and lines - so, duct-taped it up and did NOT interrupt fishing the next day!
Blessed day, thanks PWF and owners Karl and Charla.

Good Harvest! Thank You.
Love this place. Cant wait for the small bass to turn into solid 2 - 5 lb bass.
