My wife and I took my niece, her husband and a 5 and 7 year for a night at the Waterboo cabin and a 1/2 day of fishing on the lake. We all had a great time and  Karl and Charla and their kids were amazing hosts.  The cabin is great  and the city kids can't stop talking about the ranch  and Cowboy Karl. I highly recommend this spot for a night or two away.  The kids caught fish and missed many more. The lake is beautiful and so is the drive down from the cabin. Wildflowers were all in bloom. We definitely are planning on going back to Waterboo.
