We arrived the night before and stayed in the trailer (which was nice and clean)...got our 4 hours of sleep and woke up early to head over to the Hawg Trough Lake.  It was a gorgeous day outside, but we only managed 5 fish.  2 under 15" that we pulled out….and the biggest was about 3lbs.

We tried everything from frogs, to poppers, to drop shot in the deeper areas.  Plastics, cranks, etc.  We had a few bites that we lost, but the activity was very slow.  Did not see any action on the lake, no fish jumps, bait moving around (at least creating some sort of surface noise).  We fished from 5:30am to about 5:00pm.

Beautiful property and we know there are some big ones on that lake, but they weren't interested in anything we threw their way.  Still had a great day on a nice property with some good company.
