Wow, perfect weather, cloudy and light winds. Now to find the fish was the task at hand.  Lake is full going over the spillway. The normal tinted water had a suspension of soil reducing clarity to maybe 18 inches.  From the launch go towards the dam, fish the west side from the launch around the dam to east side to directly across from launch. Best action along the dam near spillway.  Throw top water with popping action and of course in a dark color due to water stain. When you get to west side work backwards to the launch.  We had no action on the north end towards the creek.  Nothing in the middle except one blowup early.  We caught 14 Bass for the day and probably missed another 14 or 20 blowups.  The fish are healthy, caught 2 five pounders (largest 5.5 lbs) 4 bass in four pound range the balance in three pound range.  No small fish and they slammed  the top water. If they missed they came back and whacked it again.    Saw a couple of white tilipia swimming near the dam. If they weren't then we saw albino bass. We did managed two on plastics so be prepared to do some chunking the top water. Talked briefly to oil field worker and he said that he drives the dam everyday and sees monster bass near shore.  The lake is alive with sheep frogs and bull frogs so you get to enjoy their songs. After throwing top water most of the day this 72 year old slept like a baby. Oh, road going in is just fine, no problems.  Great site easy to access and surely fun to fish.
