After a week of rain I decided to try a new lake.  The water was high and I could not get a good sense of where the lake normally began.  The water was so muddy I could not tell how shallow the water was.  I fished all visible structure and everything in between.  I caught a lot of grass.  I decided to have some fun and threw and orange senko on my superlight rod with 6lb test.  I assumed the water was so high that where I was fishing was not normally part of the lake so backed out into a slightly deeper water.  First cast I hooked a 4.5 pound fish.  He worked that drag.  I had a lot of fun finessing him to the boat.  Caught 2 more by the levee and called it a day.  The lower lake looks beautiful.  It was a little to muddy to get down there.  Looking forward to going back.
