I took my 9 year old son to Waterboo for a afternoon of fishing after a heavy morning of rain.  We got to the lake and started fishing at 1:00pm.  We caught 3 off the bank in the first 20 minutes on pumpkin colored worms with a chartreuse tail.  We decided to get in the boat and over the next five hours we caught 18 fish.  We predominantly caught fish in the shallow end of the lake leading to the mouth of the creek.  Most fish were on the edges in the grass although we did catch 3-4 in the open.  It was a great day especially considering the amount of rain this past week.  We culled 14 out of the 18 we caught.  All fish were healthy.
