First off, got my guest on his PB of 6.5, so that's great. Rest of the day was good too.

Post-rain, six inches of visibility.

30+ boated, lost count. There's a crop of them just barely cutting the 14 mark now, but most of what we caught was in the 2-3 lb range, with 3-4 at four+, and one at 6.5.

The fish were not relating to cover at all until about 5pm - tried fishing the timber all day and there was lots of activity in between, and very little actually on the timber.

Boat still leaks, take a sponge not a cup, cup is hard and noisy unless you pull over.

T-rigged senkos and chatterbaits delivered marginal results - they wanted swimming, silent presentations mostly. Few smaller ones on the CB's and squarebills.

Black, black and blue, or black and red were the order of the day. You'd eventually get bit on white or GP or whatever else you threw, but there was a meaningful quality difference, with a single exception on a reaction strike. Mostly in 6-8ft of water.

Oh and there was a late afternoon window where they were cruising very tight to the shore, like 1-3ft of water, and crushing wacky rigged - I put one on to demonstrate how it worked after lunch and cranked in a 4+. Missed it the first strike, threw back at it and it was happy to pick up.

Fish are well-fed, chunky. Great fighters and all but the biggest are happy to put on a jumping show.

All in all, great fun.
