Made reservations before the 1.6 inches of rain Wed and some additional rain Thursday. Without a 4 WD vehicle I was concerned but as it turned out the dam road to the East lake was wet but ok to cross. I did not attempt to try the West Lake. The water was very dingy with 8" visibility and improved to about 18" when I quit about 6:30.The lake recovers quickly.

The boat in the East Lake was full of water. Started fishing about 7am with temp of 45 degrees.I fished with gloves and a vest and jacket.By 9:30 started taking off everything. Calm winds early and only 7 to 9 mph in the afternoon. Wonderful conditions.

Caught 17 bass the largest was 4 lbs and most of the others were very nice fish. Most fish came on weightless lizards. The spawn seems to be about over. Got a huge 1 lb red ear on a lizard so after lunch took out the fly rod and went after the bream. Got 17 more of which 5 were .8 lbs ( huge ) and the others were mostly large.Nothing on a chatter bait, frog nor drop shot.
