Lures Used : everything I had

I fished this morning at Weston SW Lake. I got skunked. A single good strike 2' from the bank adjacent to the drain came straight at me like a train, went straight under the boat and that was that.

I arrived at 6:55 am and fished till noon. Air temp was 53 on arrival and 60 when I left. 13-16 mph steady north wind with gusts to 25 or so. With the recent storms and wind, the water was muddy with 6" viability and white caps. Water temp in the shallow end of the lake was 63 degrees. Water level is high and there is minimal vegetation.

I fished into the wind, with the wind, on both the lee and windward sides of the small island. I anchored near every brush pile marker I coud locate. I tried every lure I had that made noise or had flash as well as T-rigged and wacky rigged worms of several colors, jig/craw and other creature baits. No swim baits.

I simply struck out.

However, the new jon boat is great and the property is very easy to access. I will certainly return.
