Reservation Number : 20765
Property Name : Lake Leinweber
Reservation Date : 03/28/2019 AM -
Total Fish/Sizes : 21 total: 12 culled
Lures Used : Soft plastics; rattletrap

If you have not fished Leinweber recently, you have not fished Leinweber – it is a completely new environment. The lake is probably 1/3 larger, the private boat launch area is completely under water, and most of the standing timber is submerged. The last several times I fished this properly, the water has been stained, but today it was clear to 4 ft.

I am including photos of the lake.

Also since the launch area is submerged, I am also including a photo of where I launched from. It is at the end of dam just past the old launch area.

I fished this property on March 28th from about 8-noon.

Now for the details:

Water temp: 66 degrees

Air temp: 65-75 degrees

Wind: gusty

Cloudy to partly cloudy

Total caught: 21; 12 culled. Largest was probably 3 lbs, but I lost 2 really nice ones

Successful lures:

Senko

Rattletrap

Square-billed crank baits

Paddle tail

Fluke

Unsuccessful lures:

Frog

Buzz

With the added water, there is a good inside/outside edge along the dam. I fished the inside edge with the soft plastics and the outside with the hard baits.
