Fished Waterboo this morning and early afternoon. If you’re looking for a beautiful, quite place to catch a few bass on your fly rod this place has got to be it. Caught 55 bass, 6 bluegill and 1 big crappie all on flies. None of the bass were bigger than 2.5 lbs. If we were still culling in this lake easily 30 plus bass would have been culled. But even these small bass are heroes on a 6 wt fly rod. Black wooly buggers early and white woolies in late morning early afternoon. This was my best “volume day” on a PW lake (or anywhere else for that matter). Wind was blowing pretty good out of the south but manageable on my SUP. Caught most of the fish at the south end in the shallow to deep transition at the edge of the weed line and at the north end by the dam from the shoreline to about 10 to 15 yards out. Also caught a pretty good number along the weed line on the launch side of the shoreline. I had the place for all day but left at 1 p.m. so I could eat lunch at Sweetie Pies before heading home. Thank you Private Waters for providing such a great place to fish.

Your Welcome Kevin. It is what we do. Glad you caught a bunch.
We are harvesting. We just have not updated the 2019 harvest requirements for this lake. Last year we removed 400 fish and will be shooting for that much this year. After that point my guess is we will back down to about 250 fish for 2020 and hopefully see the size of the "average" size of the fish begin to move up a size class or two.
