Fished the afternoon of March 26 with perfect weather (Blue Bird Day) . It was a good day to be on the water. Lake is full, water temp 68 back in the NW corner and the water is typical Triple J stained color. Caught 22 bass and 2 16" slab crappie. Most all the fish including the crappie came off a pearl color chatterbait in 2 to 5 feet of water. If they missed the bait on the first hit the got it on the second. Caught most of them between 2 and 4 and after six I switched to a 5" pumpkin red senko and caught 6 or 7 on it. There was no pattern, I caught them all over the lake but only one in the back NW corner where the water was warmer. Biggest fish was a solid five pounder and she was the only one that showed signs of being on a bed. Had 13 over the slot and harvested 9 bass and the 2 crappie. Good day and I did not have to fight the wind!
