Went out after work on 3/20 to a mildly windy but otherwise beautiful sunny day. I got on the water about 4:30 and fished until full moon rise. I started catching immediately and was again impressed with the health of the fish in this lake.  Every fish was thick beautiful and angry. They fight twice their size. I caught one on a jig and craw and all the rest on a Senko working the timber out from the bank all around the lake. I did not see any fish on beds. At 7pm they lit up. In one stretch, I caught 4 fish over 4 pounds on 4 consecutive casts. A really fun day. There is still a some thick slime moss to deal with but otherwise the lake is in great shape.
