Ron Dupree and I made a spur-of-the-moment trip to Post Oak on Thursday afternoon, fishing from 1PM till about 7:15.  The wind was blowing pretty good so we fished from the bank.  Rainwater from 24 hrs earlier was still flowing into the lake thus the water was fairly muddy and the spillway was rushing. Ron caught the first bass while I kept losing short-strikers.  When I finally hooked one solidly, it stayed deep and took drag.  It turned out to be a slim 7# bass that should have weighed over 7.5# given its length but it just didn't have much of a belly.  We continued to get one here and there as we circled the lake with a couple caught on squarebills, a couple on chatterbaits, and the rest on Carolina or Texas rigs.  Ron got hot near sundown when the wind died down and quickly caught five on a ribbon-tail worm while I only managed to land one on my buzzbait.  We ended up with 25, most 13-17" with a couple of 3-4# and the one 7#.
